I love Little Italy--I know it's touristy, but I feel good there in such close proximity to so many other Italians! Left to right: the lighted greeting in Little Italy; La Mela Restaurant; Jeff and I at La Mela; another view of La Mela, with Christmas lights strung up year-round. New York, 2003.

In 2003, we visited Manhattan for the occasion of Matthew Barney's complete CREMASTER CYCLE. It had been exhibited in other parts of the world, but the only North American stop was at the Guggenheim in New York. We screened all five films of the CYCLE over a three day period--followed by a tour in the gallery of the props, drawings and objects from and inspired by each film. Above, you can see me outside the famous "snail-shaped" museum. In the center, Jeff and I pose with a statue of Matthew Barney as the Goat Man covered in Vaseline from the Barney film CREMASTER 4. Right, me with Goat Man.
