Lord Ganesh
cotton, nylon, chain, polyester, silk, plastic, acrylic paint
31" long -- $200.00

Lord Ganesh is a Hindu deity with a human body and an elephant head. He is the child of Parvati and Siva and represents the surmounting of obstacles. Nothing is undertaken without first addressing Ganesh. He is also the patron of letters. I created him wearing his traditional costume in colors most common to Ganesh, holding one of the cakes, called mandana, that are baked for him on his feast day in India. His familiar, a rat, is at his feet. This hanging wall piece is nearly 3 feet long.

Cupid
cotton, polyester, feathers, tin, plastic, paper, ink
22" long -- $175.00

My modern-day version of Cupid has a rabbit head without eyes because love is blind. He has orange wings and an anatomical diagram of a human heart on his chest. Instead of a bow and arrow, he carries a handgun. In his left hand is "The Book of Love," a guide to his "victims." Each page says "You."

Businessman
cotton, polyester, paper, plastic
18" long -- $175.00

This Businessman has the head of a brown bear showing his fangs. He is dressed in a blue suit and red "power" tie. He hoards his money and it is stuffed into his clothing, spilling out of his sleeves and collar. In his left hand, he holds a dagger--to defend his money. The market is obviously bearish.

Schoolchild Series
various materials and sizes

I believe, from experience, that the American school system is, or can be one of the cruelest, most brutal periods in anyone's life. From careless principals and empty-headed physical education teachers to savage, enraged classmates, a child can be in great danger. This series of figures reflects that fear, mental and physical pain and isolation. Six in all. Not for everyone. Inquire for prices.
